Refreshed.
It happens. You miss a few days, a week, them you check the calendar and it’s been nearly five months.
The slowdown came about during a confluence of various time pressures. The positive is I have a day job now, the downside that I did not find a way to build posting back into a routine.
But with the turn of the page comes the opportunity to look anew at habits. I intend to post more, and perhaps more importantly, look critically at my posting infrastructure. The old maxim of one should not blame their tools is true until the tools get in the way of actually doing the thing — think of the line about laying out your workout clothes the night before to reduce the friction of execrise.
The other hangup, of course, is the feeling that if I’m going to put something into the world, it should be distinct and valuable, especilally in the age of AI slop and endless content.
It’ll surely be slow to restart but you’ll see me out there again.
Cheers.
